Liska and Kerestir
ליסקא וקרעסטיר
Liska was among the first Chassidic courts of Hungary, established by Reb Tzvi Hirsh Friedman, a talmid of the Yismach Moshe of Ujhel, and carried on after him by his son-in-law Reb Chaim Friedlander and the Friedlander family, who rebuilt it in America after the Holocaust. His young attendant Reb Yeshaya Steiner, Reb Shayale, later settled in nearby Kerestir on the advice of Reb Mordechai of Nadvorna and became a renowned Rebbe in his own right; the Kerestir line continued through his son, his Rubin and Gross descendants and their courts in New York and Miami.
