Dividing the Land by Lot

It is told that Elazar wore the Urim VeTumim. Yehoshua and all of Yisroel stood before him, and two urns were placed in front of him. One held the names of the Shevatim and the other the names of the districts of Eretz Yisroel.

Elazar directed his thoughts with ruach hakodesh (divine inspiration) and said, "Zevulun is coming up, and the district of Akko is coming up with him." He then took out the urn of the Shevatim, and Zevulun came into his hand. He shook the urn of the districts, and the district of Akko came into his hand.
