Six Doves at the Window
Torah learning
It is related that Rav Shlomo Zalman was giving a shiur in his yeshiva in Zlotchov when six doves came to rest on the window of the Bais Medrash. As the talmidim watched, one of the doves flew away.
Rav Shlomo Zalman told the talmidim to go on learning by themselves. He himself set out at once, gathered his brothers, and travelled with them to the home of their sister in Kletshev. She had passed away, and they arrived just in time for the kevura.
When he was asked how he had known, he explained that the six doves stood for his family, five brothers and one sister. When one bird flew away, he understood that his sister had left this world.
