The Master of Silence
Humility
Rav Yitzchok Blazer left a request that no hespeidim be delivered for him. Rav Chaim Berlin asked Rav Shmuel Salant whether they were required to keep the humble last wishes of Rav Yitzchok, since it would be a merit to eulogize a person of his stature. Rav Shmuel Salant ruled that they were obligated to heed his final wishes.
A few days after the petira, Rav Chaim Berlin related, Rav Itzele came to him in a dream and thanked him for honoring his request. Rav Chaim then asked him, "What is the Beis Din Shel Maalah most stringent and machmir about?"
Rav Itzele replied that a human being cannot fathom the depth and detail of the Heavenly judgment. They are especially exacting on the purity of a person's speech. This came from a man who had mastered the art of silence.
