One Hundred Percent Character

The Rebbe used to tell over a saying about shidduchim: finding the right match means seeking three things, keren tov (a good person), kesef rav (wealth) and yichus (good family background). He explained that the importance of each is hinted at by its first letter. Keren tov begins with a kuf, whose gematria is 100, implying that the search for a chosson of good character is one hundred percent important. Kesef begins with a kaf, whose gematria is twenty, so it deserves only twenty percent. Yichus begins with a yud, so it is only ten percent important.
