A teaching ofRav Avrohom Yitzchok Kookהרב אברהם יצחק בן שלמה זלמן קוק
Rav Kook taught that because every Jewish soul is bound up with the souls of the whole nation, the longing of even one person for Eretz Yisroel has a deep and multiplied effect on all Jews. Hashem's mercy is aroused, and slowly the nation begins to return to its land.
