Signs Through the Righteous, Not Through Charms

Rav Hai taught that Hashem performs signs and awe-inspiring acts through the righteous, just as He did through the prophets. At the same time he firmly rejected the belief that divine names and charms can change the course of nature, and insisted that its laws cannot be altered by such means.
