A Tefillah for Parnassah

TefillahParnassahTeshuvahHumility

A teaching ofRebbe Meir Segal HaLevi Rottenberg of Aptaהרב מאיר בן שמואל רוטנברג

The Ohr LaShamayim composed a tefillah that the Tiferes Shlomo of Radomsk said every evening and morning. In it a person says that he is in Hashem's hands like clay in the hand of a potter, and that without Hashem's help no plan or helper can bring salvation. He asks to keep Hashem's greatness before his eyes at every moment, to be humble and full of reverence, to rejoice in Hashem, and to be free of envy and of the chase after honor and wealth. He asks for complete teshuvah, for readiness to give his life al kiddush Hashem, for the ability to learn Torah for its own sake, and that his descendants always sanctify Hashem's name.
