Sermons Built on Gematria
Torah learning
The Ostrovtzer Rebbe's sermons drew heavily on gematria, and some used particularly difficult numerical constructions and complex mathematical formulas to explain passages in the Gemara. They became known as the Ostrovtzer pshetlach.
