Know Where Your Soul Stands

The Rebbe Maharash urged the study of Kabbalah as a foundation of a person's very humanity. He taught that someone who is able to grasp the seder hishtalshelus (the kabbalistic order by which all existence comes into being, moment by moment) and does not do so cannot truly be called a human being. At every moment, a person must know where his soul stands. To know the seder hishtalshelus is a mitzvah and an obligation.
