The Purpose of Life
Torah learning
Reb Chatzkel teaches that although learning Torah is equal to all the mitzvos, it is not the purpose of life. The purpose of life is the fear of Heaven and attachment to Hashem (deveikus). He adds that to the degree that a person considers something else of primary importance, to that degree has he made Torah secondary.
