Belief in Am Segulah

The Chelkas Yehoshua established as one of the main principles of faith that we declare daily: "I believe with full faith, ani maamin be'emunah sheleimah, that Bnei Yisroel are Hashem's segulah (supernatural, above the laws of the natural order), His portion and the inheritance of Hashem, the Creator." He included this in his siddur, after the recitation of the Rambam's thirteen ikrei emunah.
