Covering Our Eyes in Shema

The Pesach before his passing, his children asked the Galanta Rav why we cover our eyes during Shema. He answered that sometimes it is dark, we see nothing, and we think all is lost. Then we cover our eyes, go blindly into the darkness, and accept that Hashem is One and that He is doing everything for the best.
