Learning Ohr HaChaim for Yiras Shamayim
Torah learning
The Belzer Rebbe would tell all the young chassanim, the newly engaged young men, to study the comments of the Ohr HaChaim on Vayikra 18:3, on the words "Kemaasay Eretz Mitzrayim." He explained to them in Yiddish, "If you learn this every day, you will have guidance for how to conduct yourself after the chasuna." It is a tradition among the tzaddikim that studying the Ohr HaChaim is a segulah for yiras shamayim. Rav Yosef Greenwald of Pupa said this, and Rav Eliezer Zisha of Skulen added that the Ohr HaChaim's commentary on parshas Acharei Mos, especially on the words "Kemaasay Eretz Mitzrayim," is a source and fountain for drawing good character traits and yiras shamayim.
