Chabad-Lubavitch

חב"ד-לובאוויטש

Chabad was founded in Liozna by the Alter Rebbe, Rebbe Shneur Zalman of Liadi, a student of the Maggid of Mezritch. Seven Rebbes led it from Lubavitch to Brooklyn, and several branches, among them Kopust, Liadi, Strashelye, Niezhin and Bobruisk, split off along the way.
