The Rabash Joins the Shiur
Torah learning
One of Rav Avraham's talmidim found it hard to come to Yerushalayim each time, and Rav Avraham advised him to go and learn with Maran the Rabash in Bnei Brak. He did so. While he sat in the Rabash's shiur, he would now and then raise good, difficult questions. The Rabash noticed that he had a full vessel and that his knowledge of these subjects was very good, and he asked where such excellent knowledge came from. The talmid answered that he was one of the students of Rav Brandwein.
The Rabash was filled with admiration and said that he too wished to learn together with Rav Brandwein. From then on they set up a regular learning together. In their sessions the Rabash liked to have Rav Avraham read aloud from the sefer and then explain that the answer was already found in his reading. Later Rav Avraham said that the Rabash opened new horizons for him in the study of Kabbalah.
