While traveling, Rebbi Yossi ben Kisma once met a man who offered him a million gold coins, gemstones and diamonds if he would move to the man's city.
Rebbi Yossi replied that even if he were given all the money in the world, he would not move out of his city, which was filled with Torah scholars. When a person dies, he explained, he is accompanied not by money but only by his Torah and good deeds.
