Partners in Merit

Chacham Chaim taught that every Jew has a share in the World to Come. Since all of Yisroel are responsible for one another, he explained, they are partners in fulfilling the mitzvos and in upholding and studying the Torah, and just as partners share a profit, Yisroel share in one another's Torah and good deeds. He found proof in the verse “And your people, all of them are righteous.” Even if one finds people in Yisroel who seem entirely empty, they “shall possess the land for all time,” and “for all time” includes even those who have nothing of their own.
