Just Be Normal

In the stories people told about Rav Elya, one phrase kept returning: "Just be normal." Though he never said these words to the one who tells of him, they summed up the message he conveyed throughout their year together. Normalcy was a value worth striving for, and it was not a value of the leftist and hippie worldviews that the young man had followed for years.
