Prayer and Devotion

Rav Yehudah taught that devotion in prayer deepens a person's feeling and piety. He gave great importance to the study of Tanach and treated prayer, in its mystical dimension, as more important than study. For this reason his path differed in emphasis from the prevailing approach to learning in his time.
