Greatness Through Review

The Yeshuos Moshe of Vizhnitz taught from the example of the Berzhoner Rav that greatness is earned. Every Shabbos the Maharsham studied and completed the whole of Maseches Shabbos. Because he reviewed it every week, he knew it by heart as well as we know Ashrei. A person should accustom himself from his youth to learn and to review. His greatness was that he knew how to use his time well and how to use every opportunity to serve his Creator, and he reviewed his learning countless times. This, the Yeshuos Moshe said, is the way the gedolim reach greatness.
