Patience with Every Bochur
Torah learning
Rav Ruderman often warned that dealing with bochurim involves dinei nefoshos, a question of spiritual life and death, and must never be treated lightly. When members of the yeshiva’s hanhola thought a certain bochur should be expelled, he held firm. The future of such a talmid cannot be known, he said, and perhaps with a little more patience he would develop properly. For the most part, he lived to see his view proved right.
