Use Your Time for Gemara and Rishonim

After the Vitka Rav saw the Belzer Rebbe studying perek HaZahav in Bava Metzia with the Shita Mekubetzes, he would explain to his talmidim, "This teaches you to take advantage of your time and to study Gemara and Rishonim, the Talmud and the early commentators, rather than wasting your time studying responsa and likkutim."
