The respect that other gedolim and tzaddikim had for the Tchebiner Rav can be seen in a letter sent to him by Rav Itzikel Gevirtzman of Pshevorsk, a rebbe in Antwerp and a descendant of the Rebbe Elimelech of Lizhensk.
He wrote: "Please believe me that I daven daily for your honor and for the sake of the Belzer, the Gerrer and the Satmar Rav. Just as we put on tefillin every day, I daven for the four of you each and every day, that you should all have long, healthy lives."
