Signs Before and After His Passing

TefillahShabbos & Yom Tov

A story ofRav Moshe Aharon Pintoהרב משה אהרן בן חיים פינטו

A few months before he passed away, during Chol HaMoed Pesach, Rav Moshe Aharon's health declined and he was taken to the hospital. In the midst of his suffering he told those close to him, "A great tzaddik is about to leave our world today." On the way back from the hospital, the family heard on the radio that Rav Meir Abuchatzeira, the oldest son of Baba Sali, had been killed in a major accident. Rav Moshe Aharon had announced it three hours earlier.

After Rav Moshe Aharon passed away he was buried on a Thursday. Very early the next morning, just before dawn, some people went to his kever to say Tehillim. It was so early that the sun had not yet risen and the ground all around was cool, yet they found the sand over his grave burning hot.
