The esteem in which the gedolim held the Tchebiner Rav can be seen from a letter sent to him by Reb Itzikel Gevirtzman of Pshevorsk, the Rebbe in Antwerp and a descendant of Rav Elimelech of Lizhensk.
"Please believe me that I daven daily for your honor and for the sake of the Belzer, the Gerrer and the Satmar Rav. Just as we put on tefillin on a daily basis, I daven for the four of you each and every day that you all have long healthy lives."
