The Vest of Many Pockets
Tzedakah & chesed
Reb Itzikel wore a vest with many pockets, and he assigned each pocket to a different cause. One was for orphans, another for the weddings of the poor, and so on.
Often a chassid would come in with a kvittel, and the Rebbe would point to one of the pockets and say, "This pocket, for widows, is still empty."
