That Bochur Knows How to Learn

At the Mashgiach's direction, Rav Brevda would travel to Bnei Brak to speak in learning with the Chazon Ish. Sometimes, when he asked the Mashgiach a question, the Mashgiach sent him to the Chazon Ish for the answer.

One time, after Rav Brevda came out from speaking with the Chazon Ish, the Chazon Ish said to one of his companions, "Der bochur ken lernen" (That bochur knows how to learn Torah). He offered Rav Brevda to stay with him in Bnei Brak and be his daily chavrusa, but at that point Rav Brevda was already in Brisk.

Rav Brevda would tell some of his chidushim to the Chazon Ish, who enjoyed them tremendously. One time, after hearing a particular chiddush, the Chazon Ish even got up and kissed him.
