The Taxi at the Kosel

Tefillah

A story ofRav Shmuel Druziרבי שמואל דרזי

Every day for forty years, Rav Shmuel went to the Kosel (Western Wall), in summer and in winter. Even when it snowed and reaching the Kosel took great effort, he went.

One day, on his way back from davening there, he told his driver to stop. He pointed at the taxi beside them and said firmly, "Know that there are terrorists in this taxi who are going to carry out an attack in Yerushalayim."

His talmidim knew that the Ruach HaKodesh (divine inspiration) was speaking from the Rav's mouth, and they called the police at once. They reported that the taxi held terrorists. It was stopped, explosives were found in it, and a major attack was prevented.
