"Forever, Hashem, Your word stands in the heavens"
The Baal Shem Tov explained this verse literally: the very words Hashem spoke at creation, "Let there be a firmament," remain clothed within the heavens at every moment and keep them in existence. If the Divine word withdrew even for an instant, the heavens would return to nothingness. The same is true of every creature. All of existence is continually being re-created, so Hashem is never distant from anything.
