Shivisi: equanimity
"Shivisi Hashem l'negdi tamid," I have set Hashem before me always. The Besht connects "shivisi" with "hishtavus," equanimity: when a person lives with Hashem constantly before him, praise and insult, delicacies and plain food become equal in his eyes. Whatever happens, he says, "This too is from Hashem; if it is good in His eyes, it is good in mine."
