A Blessing From an Ordinary Person
Tefillah
In a notice published in HaMaggid, Rav Eliyahu declared that his blessings were only the berachos of a hedyot (an ordinary person) and asked that no one come to him any longer. He concluded that he hoped his prayers were accepted by Hashem, but if they were, it was only because he never davened for his own sake alone and always prayed on behalf of all of Klal Yisrael.
