A Vision of Torah in Eretz Yisroel

In Igeres HaKodesh Rav Eliyahu hoped that Eretz Yisroel would become a vaad lechachamim, gedolim and gaonim (a gathering place for sages, great Torah scholars and geonim). He envisioned that one day every mother and father would send their children to the Holy Land to study Torah and pure Yiras Hashem and wisdom. He saw the new freedoms and equality given to Jews around the world as a Heavenly sign. He hoped it would redeem all those in the diaspora, for "our medicines and drugs will heal them all and through the salvation of those who dwell in the holy land, theirs will come as well, and the light shall shine over the entire world as it once did at the apex of Creation."
