From Klippah to Keli
Reb Moshe had a special avodah with orange peels. He peeled oranges in a special manner, saved the peels, wrapped them around bottles and made an ashtray. When he was asked why, he replied, "See how I transform a klippah into a keli. See how I transform the peel into a useful vessel." When he was asked jokingly how long he kept the peels, the klippos, he replied seriously, "So long as they have even a bit of orange moisture left, they contain sparks of kedushah and I am forbidden to throw them away."
