The Holy Bulbs
Reb Moshe hinted deep concepts through ordinary things, such as fluorescent bulbs. He said they were invented because at first they were round, and that did not last well, so they made them long. When his listeners did not understand, he said, "They were round, igulim, and they broke, shevirah. Afterwards they made them straight, yoshor, and that was the tikkun." He did not explain further. Those who understood, understood.
