Honesty Is the Mark of a Jew
Emunah & bitachonAhavas Yisroel
Rav Pam taught that meticulous honesty is the mandate of every Jew and must be the hallmark of everyone who claims to be observant. He explained that the word emunah also means faith, alluding to the fact that faith in the Creator as the source of our daily bread cannot coexist with acting dishonestly. In his recorded speech to the last Agudah convention he spoke of emes as the guiding light of the whole Torah community, and warned of the chilul Hashem that comes from a lack of integrity.
