Rav Pam measured his words carefully, and everything he said was thought out and said for a reason. He often cited the Sheloh, who teaches that two malochim accompany a person and write down everything he says. “They don’t write shorthand,” Rav Pam would say with deep feeling. “If a person could see this with his own eyes, how careful he would be when he opens his mouth.” He lived with this teaching as his guide in watching what he said.
