Everything Is in the Torah

Whenever Rav Elchonon was asked a question, he would jump up and say that it is an explicit verse or saying of Chazal. He taught that the Torah speaks to every situation, including the events of the day, and that it illuminates the era in which we live. Those who heard him came away understanding that Torah is alive, and that we are part of it, rather than being one thing while Torah is something else.
