Never shame another person
Torah learning
In the name of Rebbi Shimon bar Yochai the Gemara teaches that it is better for a person to throw himself into a fiery furnace than to humiliate someone else in public. The proof is Tamar, who was being led out to be burned yet refused to name Yehuda openly; she only sent his belongings and let him choose to admit the truth. Protecting another person's dignity outweighs even one's own safety.
