"Tatte, I Promised Him"

One of Rav Yehuda Zev's students was diagnosed with a malignant illness. The boy's father had hoped his son would pursue a profession, and he came to ask Rav Yehuda Zev for a berocha for his recovery.
Rav Yehuda Zev answered, "If your son dedicates his life to Torah study, he will recover fully."
That night, during Shemoneh Esrei, those near Rav Yehuda Zev heard him murmur, "Tatte, I promised him." Not long afterward the young man recovered.
