The List at the Chasam Sofer's Kever
Tefillah
Rav Yehuda Zev once joined a group traveling through Eastern Europe to daven at the kevarim of tzaddikim. At the Chasam Sofer's kever, he pulled out a sheet bearing a long list of names, each of someone in need of a yeshua, and began davening for them one by one.
Before long the group was ready to leave, yet Rav Yehuda Zev was still in the middle of the list. Left with no choice, he pressed the page to his heart and cried out with great feeling,"Ribbono Shel Olam, may the requests of all those whose names are on this list be fulfilled for the good."
