The Power of the Individual
A teaching ofRav Menachem Mendel Schneersonהרב מנחם מנדל בן לוי יצחק שניאורסון
No one should think, “Who am I to have such tremendous power to build or destroy?” We have seen, to our sorrow, what a small amount of matter can do when atomic energy is released. If such power lies hidden in so little matter, to destroy against the design of Creation, how much greater is the creative power given to every individual to work in harmony with the Divine purpose. People often see themselves in terms of their limits as mortals, but sometimes the moment calls for transcendent action, and a person must sometimes do more than he thinks he can. Every mortal has a Divine soul, and Hashem is not bound by mortal limits.
